Ever think about how strange classic badniks wreckage would be to an outsider perspective?
A robot, clearly showing signs of wear and tear. Individually all the parts seem obvious in purpose, until one gets to the holding chamber for the critters.
And looking it as a whole, that’s when things get weird. The clear lack of a power source for most of the components,
A buzz bomber the jets have an obvious fuel source, but it is not clear what should make the wings move.
Not to mention some parts of the programming would seem outright missing, because Eggman got lazy and let the brains of animals fill in the blanks.
And if you get a sonic CD Badnik, well those seem powered by seeds held in time stasis, and driven by harnessing potential energy of the seeds straining against the robot preventing them from blooming.
I’ve put more thought into it than the game makers, but the implications really show off what a genius Eggman is.
